Despite being Hollywood’s current favorite action star, Glen Powell has recently transformed his appearance with the announcement of his upcoming TV show.
Having starred alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick and as a tornado-wrangler in Twisters, it is undeniable that Glen Powell’s status as a rising star is rapidly increasing.
Despite being known as an action hero, he possesses a wide range of acting skills. From his past roles in Scream Queens to his recent appearances in romantic comedies like Anyone But You, he has proved his versatility. Additionally, his lovable dog Brisket is another reason why he has a strong fan base.
Currently, Powell is adding another accomplishment to his repertoire with his new TV show… that is, if you can spot him. He is currently filming for Chad Powers, where he portrays disgraced college quarterback Russ Holliday, who assumes a new identity.

“A third person joked that Glen Powell was pretending to be Tom Cruise, who was pretending to be Chad Powers.”
After seeing Powell’s new look, you may be questioning if he is a real NFL player or simply a caricature. However, rest assured, he is not a real player. In fact, the inspiration for Powell’s appearance came from Eli Manning’s sketch in 2022 with the same name.
Initially, Powers’ goal was to experience playing for the Penn State team, and it appeared that the TV show was expanded to encompass the resurgence of Powers’ own struggling career.
Upon hearing the news of Powell’s involvement, one fan posted about how Glen had yet to direct a sports movie.
One person commented, “Chad Powers – his appearance perfectly matches my mental image of that character’s name.”
“This man is clearly seizing his opportunity to make a bigger name for himself in the industry, as one person pointed out that he is busy and determined to succeed.”
Despite some fans feeling that the upcoming project idea may have been “stolen”from Manning, it should be noted that Powell is now a co-creator, along with Michael Waldron. As of now, there is no confirmed release date for the project.
