Goblin Slayer Manga Announces Ending Date: A Day in the Life

In the latest issue of Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gagan magazine, it was revealed on October 27, 2024, that the Goblin Slayer: A Day in the Life manga will conclude on November 25, 2024, in its 12th edition. This series stands out as one of the select manga adaptations derived from its original story.

The base light novel series has also inspired an anime adaptation and a video game.

As per the announcement from Square Enix, the Goblin Slayer: A Day in the Life manga will come to a close in the 12th issue of Monthly Big Gagan on November 25, 2024.

Illustrated by Daichi Matsuse, this manga explores the narrative from the 12th volume of the original light novel series. Currently, the manga has been released in two volumes, the most recent of which debuted on March 20, 2024.

While the light novel is the creator’s most renowned project, the author is also well-known for another dark light novel series called Blade and Bastard.

Apart from Goblin Slayer: A Day in the Life, the light novel has inspired multiple manga adaptations. The main manga series, illustrated by Kousuke Kurose, continues the light novel’s storyline and has published 15 volumes to date, as of this article’s publication.

The Goblin Slayer series has also been adapted into an anime. The initial season was produced by White Fox (known for Re: Zero), while production later moved to LIDENFILMS (responsible for Tokyo Revengers). Additionally, a browser RPG game titled Goblin Slayer – Endless Hunting was developed based on the light novel series.

Goblin Slayer is a dark fantasy action series that follows a mysterious adventurer, known simply as Goblin Slayer. His sole focus is on quests that involve goblin hunting, as they rank among the weakest of monsters.

This single-minded pursuit raises questions about his capabilities as an adventurer—does he lack the strength to confront more formidable foes, or does he nurse a deep-seated vendetta against these diminutive creatures? After teaming up with a priest, his life takes a brighter turn, yet his relentless quest to eliminate goblins endures.
