God of War Ragnarok: Fix for King’s Grave Berserker Gravestone Issues

In God of War: Ragnarok, upon arriving at King’s Grave during the The Word of Fate goal within The Path main story quest line, you’ll notice that the only collectible in this area is labeled “Undiscovered.” Shortly after arriving, you will come across the Inert Hilt of Skofnung and King Hrolf Kraki, transforming 10 of the “Undiscovered” collectibles throughout the game into Berserker Gravestones.

Typically in God of War: Ragnarok, when a collectible shifts from “Undiscovered” to a specific item, it indicates that you can collect it, unless blocked by a fight or a puzzle.

This rule applies to nine of the Berserker Gravestones, though it’s advisable to prepare adequately before facing them, as the Berserkers tend to be formidable foes. However, this does not apply to the Berserker Gravestone in King’s Grave. Interestingly, while this gravestone will appear on the map alongside the others, it cannot be accessed immediately.

Despite appearances, there’s no actual bug hindering your ability to collect the Berserker Gravestone in King’s Grave. The truth is, this gravestone won’t activate until you defeat the Berserkers at all the other nine locations, a fact that the game fails to communicate clearly.

To “fix” this issue, you need to seek out the remaining nine Berserker Gravestones, some of which have more than one Berserker guarding them. In total, there are 13 Berserkers to defeat.

You can find these Berserker Gravestones in several locations: Alberich Island, Nidavellir, and the Jarnsmida Pitmines in Svartalfheim; The Barrens and The Forbidden Sands in Alfheim; Pilgrim’s Landing and The Sinkholes in Vanaheim; the Lake of Nine in Midgard; and the Mist Fields in Niflheim.
