Takaba Fumihiko, a character from Jujutsu Kaisen, was among the witnesses who witnessed the epic battle of the strongest fighters. He was also one of the first to enter the battlefield after the tragic death of Gojo Satoru. Although the sudden demise of Gojo Satoru was a shocking turn of events for many fans, there is a possibility that the cursed technique that caused it was not from Ryomen Sukuna.
Takaba possesses one of the most powerful and disruptive cursed techniques in the series, as it allows anything he deems as ‘funny’ to manifest into reality. Despite its potential to be used against anyone, Takaba could have easily used it against Gojo by envisioning his defeat at the hands of Sukuna and finding it amusing. This is understandable as Takaba is not fully aware of the true extent of his cursed technique’s capabilities.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Investigating the Connection Between Takaba’s Cursed Technique and Gojo Satoru’s Downfall
Despite the possibility that this theory suggests a connection between two seemingly unrelated sorcerers and their deaths, it may be considered unlikely. While Takaba played a crucial role in the downfall of Kenjaku, the notion of him being responsible for the death of Gojo Satoru seems implausible.
Despite the aforementioned points, there is a possibility that the theory could be valid, given the mechanics of Takaba’s cursed technique, Comedian. The crucial aspect for this theory to hold true is Takaba’s ability to genuinely find his own jokes amusing. This was evident when he utilized his cursed technique to its full potential during his battle against Kenjaku, one of the main adversaries.
Despite being a battle in Jujutsu Kaisen, this fight was one of the most unique and unconventional. It did not have a traditional battlefield and instead, it transpired in various scenarios conjured by Takaba’s Comedian cursed technique.
The fighters found themselves on the road, where Takaba had defeated a special-grade cursed spirit summoned by Kenjaku for his own amusement. The battle even led them to the hospital as nurses and in other absurd situations. However, it was clear that Kenjaku had the upper hand, as he was aware of Comedian’s vulnerability.
After realizing his jokes were falling flat, Takaba became vulnerable, providing Kenjaku an opportunity to attack. However, this moment came during their final battle, which had turned into a comedy show. As Takaba imagined a future where he was no longer a comedian, tears streamed down his face.
Despite the act ending and Takaba lying on the ground in the appearance of a dead body, he thanked Kenjaku for revealing his true potential. However, he did not perish as this outcome was also amusing to the sorcerer, causing it to manifest.
The comedian cursed technique was believed to be the most powerful, surpassing even the Shrine and Limitless techniques. It granted its users the power to manipulate their surroundings and create any scenario they desired. Additionally, it blurred the line between reality and fantasy, illustrated by Takaba transforming Kenjaku into a female in the hospital.
Despite being a difficult truth for fans around the world, the death of Gojo Satoru was a harsh reality. While it may be difficult to accept that Takaba was responsible for his demise, given his twisted sense of humor, it’s not impossible that he found it amusing.
