The finale of Jujutsu Kaisen centers on the main trio as they embark on their last mission. After apprehending the villain and witnessing his remorse, Yuji reflects on his earlier conversation with Gojo, who expressed his desire for Yuji to think ahead to the future.
The most formidable sorcerer of his time harbored dreams he wished for his students to uphold should anything happen to him. However, he also acknowledged that at least one of his pupils should forget about him and develop a strength that is uniquely their own.
In response, Yuji grows upset and insists that no one will ever forget Gojo, questioning why his mentor is acting in such an unusual manner. Gojo merely chuckles and states that it’s confidence he never possessed before. The flashback concludes with Gojo affirming that he has high expectations for Yuji.
Yuji carries forth the cherished memories of his beloved mentor and informs the culprit, who is inclined to repent, that he too has great expectations.
The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen does not depict Gojo receiving a burial or have his students visit his grave. The last instance we see of his body is when Yuta takes control and collapses, unable to adjust to his new form.
After the battle, Yuta eventually returns to his body, but the manga does not feature Gojo any further. Therefore, the fans are left with only a fleeting flashback, and the conversation occurs solely between Yuji and Gojo, excluding the other students.
