Jujutsu Kaisen fans will recall that the story commenced with Yuji Itadori consuming one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. This drastic decision was made to safeguard his classmates from the Curses that invaded his school, but it also meant that Yuji was sentenced to death. Thankfully, Satoru Gojo intervened and managed to delay the execution until after Yuji ingested Sukuna’s fingers.
It’s important to note that Gojo didn’t make this call unilaterally; he consulted Yuji about his options. Although both paths would ultimately lead to Yuji’s demise, the second option allowed him to postpone it until all of Sukuna’s fingers were consumed.
When Yuji Itadori consented to take in the remaining Sukuna fingers, Satoru Gojo made an eerily precise prediction regarding Yuji’s future, one that turned out to be startlingly accurate.

Satoru Gojo’s Prophecy Regarding Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen Proved Accurate
Back in chapter 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Satoru Gojo made a significant prediction about Yuji Itadori’s future. After Yuji opted to hunt down the remaining fingers of Ryomen Sukuna, Gojo cautioned him about the grim reality that awaited him if he chose this path.
Gojo warned Yuji that delving into the hunt for Sukuna’s remnants would likely expose him to horrific sights and could even lead to his own victimization. It’s safe to say that Gojo’s foresight wasn’t an exaggeration, as what he predicted eventually came to fruition.
Since embarking on his journey as a Jujutsu Sorcerer, Yuji Itadori has experienced numerous fatalities involving various Curses, especially those posed by Mahito and Sukuna. This unfortunate sequence began right at the series’ inception when Yuji witnessed the tragic murder of his friend Junpei Yoshino by Mahito.
As the storyline progressed, particularly during the Shibuya Incident Arc, he was forced to witness the destruction that Ryomen Sukuna wreaked upon the city through his own actions. Yuji found himself powerless to intervene. On that same night, he was also there to see one of his mentors, Nanami Kento, perish, along with his friend Kugisaki Nobara, who was severely injured by Mahito.
As the events unfolded further in the Culling Game Arc, Sukuna took control of his best friend Megumi Fushiguro’s body and subsequently killed his own teacher, Satoru Gojo, during the Shinjuku Showdown. On that same fateful day, Yuji witnessed his brother, Choso, sacrificially protect him.
Indeed, Yuji Itadori has endured numerous hardships since he embarked on the quest to find Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. The silver lining, however, is that those who inflicted pain on him have finally met their end, allowing him the chance for a brighter future.
