The Jujutsu Kaisen manga series is approaching its climax, with only two chapters remaining. Following the return of Okkotsu Yuta and Higuruma, many fans are insisting that the author should reintroduce Gojo Satoru. They argue that it would be unjust for Gojo’s character to be left behind. While this perspective is understandable, it also overlooks the fact that the “Honored One”has already achieved his victory.
Throughout his life, Gojo faced isolation, a consequence of being the strongest. His decision to bring Okkotsu Yuta to Jujutsu Tech stemmed from his inability to witness anyone die alone while carrying a curse as profound as Rika. In this sense, Yuta and Gojo can be seen as two sides of the same coin, and the fact that Yuta was ultimately saved by his friends fulfills Gojo’s dreams.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Analyzing Gojo’s Triumph through Okkotsu Yuta’s Survival
Gojo Satoru, known as the “Honored One,”was a prominent student at Jujutsu Tech. His confidence in his abilities was justified—after all, no curse could challenge him.
However, being the strongest came at a cost; he had only one close friend, Geto Suguru. Unfortunately, the friendship crumbled when Geto realized the vast disparity between them and ultimately drifted away, leaving Gojo alone—an isolation that was the price for his immense power.
The prequel movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 showcases Gojo as a teacher at Jujutsu Tech. He welcomed Okkotsu Yuta, another special-grade sorcerer, into his class, even though Yuta was unaware of his own potential due to the curse inflicted by his childhood friend.
Gojo’s intention in introducing Yuta to his classmates was to ensure he didn’t have to face solitude as he did. Although initially shy, Yuta gradually forged connections with his classmates, including Maki, Panda, and Inumaki. With their support, Yuta recognized his potential and committed himself to safeguarding those he held dear while also wishing to alleviate Gojo’s burden as the strongest.
Unlike other sorcerers who thought, ‘If we can’t handle it, let Gojo take the lead,’ Yuta offered his teacher a chance to relax, understanding that even someone as powerful as Gojo was still human. Nevertheless, Gojo had adapted to the challenges he faced and worked to ensure that his students would thrive after his eventual demise.
To protect his students from the Jujutsu Higher-ups after his death, Gojo took significant steps. His ability, Infinite Void, continuously impacted the King of Curses throughout their confrontation. Yuta, attempting to share some of Gojo’s burden, risked his life and utilized Gojo’s body to continue fighting.
Through this experience, Yuta came to appreciate the incredible might of his mentor, who could wield a body that required immense cursed energy. Fortuitously, Yuta survived thanks to the strength of his friends, though Maki remained understandably frustrated with the execution of their plan.
Ultimately, Gojo’s aspiration was to witness Yuta living freely, breaking away from his previous introversion caused by his curse. With Yuta’s survival and the company of his friends, Gojo’s wish was fulfilled, and thus his death can be seen as a form of victory in the overarching narrative.
