Gojo’s Mastery of Limitless in Jujutsu Kaisen and the Role of Color Theory

Gojo’s Mastery of Limitless in Jujutsu Kaisen and the Role of Color Theory

Gojo Satoru, the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, is undeniably one of the most beloved animanga characters, if not the most. He earned the title “The Strongest Sorcerer”thanks to his incredible abilities and mastery of techniques that he effortlessly utilized.

When he was first introduced, his charm, goofiness, and nonchalant personality captured the hearts of people all over the world. However, when he was sealed and eventually met his demise in the manga, it was a devastating blow for all his admirers. Furthermore, his unexpected return only brought more pain to those who had been eagerly anticipating the comeback of the white-haired sorcerer and his Six Eyes power.

A new theory has emerged that could potentially upset fans – it suggests that Gojo Satoru may not have truly mastered Limitless. This theory was proposed by a digital artist who utilized color theory to develop this speculation.

This article is based on speculation and should be viewed as such.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Exploring the Possibility of Gojo Not Fully Mastering Limitless

Starting off, we revisit Gojo’s battle against Toji Fushiguro. Following the fight, Gojo diligently trained to perfect his Limitless and Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT). Later on, we witness him demonstrating it to Geto and Shoko, effortlessly twirling a pen between his fingers and using red, blue, white, and cyan. Although it may appear to be a typical Gojo mannerism, perhaps it holds a deeper significance.

A true expert in Limitless would possess the ability to manipulate all of the aforementioned “colors.”However, what exactly do White and Cyan represent? To answer this, we must analyze their individual properties. By utilizing Negative Energy, Red can repel and create Positive Energy (-1*-1=1). Blue has the power to attract by distorting space and creating negative distance. When combined, Red and Blue form Purple, a force that combines both repulsion and attraction to obliterate any obstacles in its path. But what role does White play in this equation?

In digital art, the color White is created by mixing Red, Blue, and Green. While Red and Blue represent physical forces of Attraction and Repulsion, respectively, the explanation for Green is necessary. Unlike Red and Blue, which are contact forces, there are also non-contact forces such as electromagnetic, gravitational, and nuclear. In this theory, Green utilizes one or a combination of these forces. However, nuclear would not be effective as it operates on a microscopic scale, unlike Gojo’s fighting style, and gravitational is too vast.

Hence, Green likely possesses the ability to manipulate electromagnetic force, allowing Gojo to manipulate the volume of speakers, heat food without a microwave, and perform other similar tasks. In the context of the Jujutsu Kaisen world, these abilities may have limited usefulness, but there are still a few practical applications for them.

  • By modifying the frequency or wavelength of reflected light, it is possible to alter the appearance of red objects to make them appear green.
  • Observe ultraviolet waves/X-rays.
  • There is a possibility of causing blindness to someone during a battle.

Another possible choice could involve another similarity between Red and Blue: their use of positive and negative energy. While negative energy is the dominant force in the series, positive energy is more rare (RCT). Green could then represent neutral energy (NE). Gojo utilized the formula -1*-1=1 with Cursed Technique (CT) to create Blue (positive), but in order to create Green, he would need to use the formula -1/-1=0.

The concept of Thermoneutrality, defined as an organism’s metabolic state in an environmental temperature where heat generation and loss are balanced, is essential in understanding NE. In simpler terms, “thermoneutral energy”refers to the energy stored in the core of an organism that does not require additional energy to maintain its temperature. In other words, the energy in the core is in a neutral state.

When it comes to Jujutsu Kaisen, an example of NE would be equivalent to going on a date with someone who evokes neither excitement nor disinterest. This type of energy is even more uncommon than positive energy, and only someone as powerful as Gojo or a highly experienced Limitless user would have knowledge and control over it. The function of NE, as stated previously, is to neutralize any energy directed towards it, returning it to its original state of thermoneutral cursed energy.

Taking this into account, it can be concluded that Gojo’s abilities would be of little benefit to NE or Green, as he possesses other talents that overshadow them. This could explain his lack of use or training in these areas. Moreover, by combining positive, negative, and neutral energies, he can attain White or Zero. In contrast, the combination of Red and Blue results in Purple, which has destructive effects, while White has the ability to either vaporize or have no effect at all. Additionally, the NE can nullify both positive and negative energies when combined with it.

Furthermore, Jujutsu Kaisen reveals that Toji’s Inverted Spear of Heaven contained a CT imbued with a “special foreign type of CE”that had the ability to nullify any other technique it came into contact with. In this case, it was Gojo’s Limitless. Could it be possible that NE was the same type of technique? As previously mentioned, while NE may be a rare ability, it is not entirely impossible. It is possible that the color green is accessible to all, but only achievable by certain individuals, similar to RCT.

Based on the theory discussed earlier, it can be speculated that Gojo’s mastery of Limitless may be hindered by his greater understanding of Red and Blue and his limited training in Green and White.
