Gojo’s Return May Depend on Yuta’s Death in Jujutsu Kaisen

Despite mangaka Gege Akutami’s health conditions, fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Jujutsu Kaisen. While they continue to send their best wishes to the author, there is also a palpable tension surrounding the future of the story.

In the latest chapter, Yuta/Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna engaged in a Domain battle once again. However, this time, the Demon King swiftly attacked and struck Yuta/Gojo. To add to the tension, the chapter ended with the heart-wrenching image of Rika screaming and holding onto Yuta’s limp body.

Despite the challenges that come with Yuta’s boldness, it is possible that there is a critical factor that everyone is overlooking – Yuta’s sacrifice may be necessary for Gojo’s return.

This article is based on speculation.

Despite its potential cruelty, a theory has emerged suggesting that Yuta’s death may play a crucial role in Gojo’s reawakening. This possibility must be considered as all other strategies and tactics have been exhausted in the fight against the Demon King.

Initiating the process of Yuta Copying Kenjaku’s technique and implanting it into Gojo’s body entailed a significant risk. As stated by Mei Mei, the potential repercussions could result in Yuta’s demise in 2 out of 3 scenarios. Additionally, in one of the outcomes, the aftermath of Rika’s complete manifestation after the 5-minute mark was uncertain.

Despite copying Kenjaku’s technique, it is probable that Yuta had limited understanding of it. Kenjaku was the only one who truly knew how to utilize it, as shown by his longevity. Additionally, even with access to Gojo’s extensive arsenal, Yuta may struggle to wield it effectively after being injured.

Despite being aware of the risks, Yuta may have still chosen to take the chance. He likely knew that simply taking over Gojo’s role would not be sufficient in defeating Sukuna. Therefore, it is possible that he made a Binding Vow to sacrifice himself and Rika in order to bring back Gojo and ultimately defeat Sukuna.

According to Jujutsu Kaisen, Binding Vows are agreements that can grant increased strength or lead to the fulfillment of a desired outcome. In this situation, Yuta and Rika make a sacrifice allowing Gojo to be resurrected. This type of vow is unprecedented and would even surprise Sukuna, considering the various types of vows that exist.

Should this scenario unfold, it will serve as a testament to the value of love, also known as the “True Price of Love.”While Yuta’s passing will result in Rika’s disappearance, as depicted in the series’ mythology, his unwavering love for his mentor will drive him to make a sacrifice that Sukuna could never comprehend.
