Goku’s Unexpected Appearance in Overlooked New Anime

It is never certain where Goku will make his next appearance, as the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series unexpectedly showed up in a popular new program.

We are eagerly anticipating the release of Dragon Ball Daima, the newest installment in the Z Fighters series. Not only does it give us another opportunity to join Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and the other characters, but it also marks the final work of creator Akira Toriyama, who passed away earlier this year.

Before reaching Daima, Goku made a sudden detour to another recently released anime, The Elusive Samurai, which is produced by Clover Works- the same studio behind Spy x Family and Bocchi the Rock!

In the third episode, our beloved Saiyan makes an appearance dressed in a white outfit and charges up a Spirit Bomb, as is typical for him. The scene is played for laughs, as the other characters watch him with puzzled expressions.

Many people recognize him by his distinct hair, face, and build. This could potentially attract more viewers to an underappreciated production, according to fans.

“Despite its lack of recognition, this anime has received high praise from fans. One Twitter user commented, “Every aspect of this anime is flawless.”Another suggested, “It would be great if Goku had a hidden appearance in every anime.”

Another fan jokingly notes that Goku’s robes indicate he must have completed his high priest training. It is also mentioned that Kakarot can be spotted in Oblivion Battery, another new release this year.

Despite its age, Dragon Ball Z and its main character, Goku, continue to be popular references in both anime and pop culture. Many modern franchises, such as Hunter x Hunter, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Neon Abyss, make direct nods to Akira’s long-lasting impact.

With the premiere of Dragon Ball Daima in October and the release of the latest anime movie, Super Hero, the Dragon Ball franchise is set for another thrilling time. Despite the uncertainty of the future, these events serve as a reminder that Goku will continue to be a prominent figure in the series.

The Elusive Samurai, as its title suggests, recounts the true story of Hōjō Tokiyuki, a warrior who vows to avenge his family’s murder. Yusei Matsui’s manga has gained immense popularity, and it is hoped that the anime will attract a similar audience.

You can watch The Elusive Samurai on Crunchyroll, along with Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Also, be sure to check out our guides for Oshi no Ko Season 2, Tower of God Season 2, and My Hero Academia Season 7 for other currently airing anime.
