In the last 20 days on Earth, many changes take place. Seong-jae abandons his priesthood, Se-kyung and Yoon-sang begin their new life as a married couple, and the actions of everyone involved have impacted their destinies. However, there is a looming sense of grim reality underlying these changes.

Before departing, In-ah makes the decision to resign from her role as a military commander in order to seize the opportunity to travel extensively. However, she first stops by the army’s artillery to retrieve a gun magazine and then proceeds to bid farewell to Se-kyung and Yoon-sang.

Before departing, she asks Yoon-sang to retrieve the hidden gun. After replacing the empty magazine clip with a full one, she hands it back to him, instructing him to protect Se-kyung. However, the situation escalates when Se-kyung heads to the docks where the local gang members gather. She discovers that one of the leaders is offering a drug addict the chance to escape on a plane, but only if he brings three children along.

Se-kyung’s three students are among the individuals the thugs are desperately trying to take abroad on cargo ships before the impending asteroid strike. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Se-kyung understands that she must once again take action to ensure their safety.

As the series comes to a close, glimpses of the characters’ lives are shown as they move forward. Soon Se-kyung bids farewell to Ms. Kim and stops by to see the children, who are now living in fear due to messages from the thug leader.

In the final scenes of Goodbye Earth, Yoon-sang is seen making bottle bombs while Se-kyung heads to the leader’s known club. The episode concludes with her heartfelt monologue bidding farewell and a montage of her loved ones being happy. The uplifting images include her students joyfully floating away on a hot air balloon and more.

Se-kyung is seen holding the thug at gunpoint while Yoon-sang races on his bike towards the docks where the cargo ships are located. Suddenly, an asteroid plummets from the sky just as a gunshot rings out.
