Fans of Goodbye Earth are eagerly awaiting to see how actor Yoo Ah-in’s character’s storyline unfolds, especially with the producer’s recent decision to edit his scenes in light of his drug scandal.
The K-drama Goodbye Earth, available on Netflix, explores the concept of how people will cope with the announcement that the world is coming to an end in just 200 days. Yoo Ah-in portrays Yoon-sang, a biotechnology professor living in the United States, and the long-term partner of Jin Se-kyung (played by Ahn Eun-jin).

However, the soldiers do not release him and instead, detain him for further interrogation.
He is informed that he must report in every day at 5 PM to confirm his location, given the nature of his job. In the conclusion of the episode, he is reunited with Se-kyung. However, his tale takes a grim twist when she notices lengthy scars on his side.
In the bathroom, you notice the fresh scars and bruising on his body, and upon closer inspection, you find a red transmitter embedded in one of the wounds. It is later revealed that he had been held captive by the raiders and subjected to torture.

Throughout the K-drama, Yoon-sang uncovers the truth about Father Baek’s disappearance and his embezzlement of church funds. Additionally, the show explores Yoon-sang’s role as a researcher investigating genetic abnormalities during the embryo stage.
His storyline is intertwined with that of Father Baek, who remains alive. Father Baek is a member of a powerful group of politicians who are entangled in a mysterious cult that aims to save the “elite”individuals before the impending asteroid strike. He extends an invitation to Yoon-sang to join their ranks. Eventually, he confides in Se-kyung and reveals his inability to abandon her.
Yoon-sang, Se-kyung, and the rest of the group devise a strategy to ensure that Father Baek receives what he deserves. They deliberately prolong his confession in order to prevent him from making it to the aircraft. Ultimately, they depart without him.
The concluding episodes of Goodbye Earth depict Yoon-sang and Se-kyung tying the knot while he continues to work at City Hall. The finale of Yoon-sang’s journey in Goodbye Earth shows him settling down with Se-kyung, but he soon realizes that he must assist her in one last mission to safeguard her students.
As she heads to a club to take down a leader who plans to traffic young children overseas, using her students as targets, he makes his way to the docks where the cargo ships are located. He carries bottle bombs and grins as the asteroid appears in the sky. The K-drama concludes with the sound of a gunshot.
