According to Roland Quandt of WinFuture, Google’s first foldable phone might be released in European markets in the second week of June 2023. According to initial indications, the smartphone will be accessible in the United States and other regions of the world at the same time.
The Pixel 7A is also scheduled to be released at the same time. Fans may get their first peek at the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7A during Google’s I/O developer conference on May 10, 2023. Google may hold a second press conference to unveil the intriguing foldable variant.
Expected pricing
According to rumors, the Google Pixel Fold will be priced at 1700 euros, which is around $1750 (1.45,000 INR). It’s unclear if this rate applies to the standard model or an increased storage option.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 is Samsung’s latest foldable model, and it begins at $1799 USD (256GB). Google appears to be attempting to price its next foldable device competitively.
Features and specs to be expected
The Google Pixel Fold, like the Pixel 7 series, is believed to be powered by the flexible Tensor G2 processor, the company’s latest proprietary SoC for contemporary smartphones.
Quandt speculates that the Pixel Fold will be available in two elegant color options: porcelain and carbon. Google may also sell three colored coverings designed specifically for the foldable display.
The basic model might include 256GB of storage. Although current flagship smartphones clearly come with storage configurations of up to 1TB or more, the storage choices for the Google Pixel Fold have yet to be revealed.
It might include an 8-inch dynamic AMOLED display, 12GB DDR5X RAM or more, a premium camera system, AI-powered features, and a battery capacity of roughly 5000 mAh. It will most likely ship with Android 13 and support up to three System upgrades (until Android 16).
The Google Pixel Fold will almost certainly be pricey. Those who don’t mind spending money on premium flagships, on the other hand, may anticipate mind-blowing features.
While the aforementioned story is very intriguing, Google has yet to confirm these speculations. To minimize disappointment, such leaks should be taken with a grain of salt.
