GOT7 Member Bambam Becomes KFC Thailand’s Newest Spokesperson
According to reports, there has been a significant outcry following the news of Bambam’s endorsement deal with KFC.
The chain of events began on April 5, 2024, when KFC Thailand shared a post advertising the K-pop star’s concert in Bangkok, Thailand. This raised eyebrows as the post they shared did not mention KFC or their signature fried chicken.

Nevertheless, an announcement was made on April 18, 2024 that KFC Thailand would be teasing a new representative, referred to as a “Friend of KFC.”The post featured a green heart emoji and a snake emoji, which are typically linked to GOT7 and Bambam, respectively.
Uh huh 👀Last night the Colonel dreamed of seeing a green snake. 🐍💥Let’s be best friends. New presenter coming soon. Can page members tell who it is? They can’t even tell who’s added. Bambam Faces Backlash for KFC Endorsement
Despite receiving support from fans in Thailand, the idol’s recent brand deal with KFC has caused disappointment among international fans. Many people have taken a stand against brands associated with Israel since October 2023 due to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, leading to boycotts.
Consequently, numerous well-known companies, including fast-food franchises, have been pinpointed as targets for boycott. These include Yum Brands, the parent corporation of various popular fast-food chains like KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut.
Despite the ongoing boycott and Bambam’s recent endorsement deals, numerous Ahgases are expressing their disappointment with his decision to promote a brand that has shown support for Israel during the current conflict. In response, fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to urge Bambam and his company to terminate his contract with KFC Thailand due to their problematic ties.
Hello ABYSS.. @ABYSS_COMPANYThis is a reminder that we do NOT want BAMBAM @BamBam1A@BAMBAMxABYSS to associate with/promote KFC. The company is financing a genocide in Palestine. Please take note of our concerns and follow this advice.

Despite some saying that Bambam should not be criticized for his brand deal, others are not as understanding. Bambam is recognized as an idol who frequently uses the internet, suggesting that he may have come across discussions about the boycott on various social media platforms.
That’s on him. He is chronically online, he sees everyone’s tweets he should know better. And if you are honestly trying to defend and baby him read the fcking room.
