The previous scene featured two young boys marveling at the cars they saw in a magazine. Despite living in the countryside, they were only exposed to kei cars and kei trucks. However, their perspective changed when they spotted Shouzou operating a sprayer, a device used for dispersing agricultural chemicals. This sighting made them realize that even expensive cars can be found in rural areas.

In the fourth episode, Shouta and Shouzou assisted Igarashi in clearing out his storehouse. Among the items stored inside were valuable family possessions, such as a nagamochi that was once part of Igarashi’s late wife Misako’s bridal trousseau, which brought him to tears. However, Igarashi had decided to demolish the storehouse due to his sons’ lack of interest in inheriting the land and the difficulty in finding artisans who could repair the structure.

After some time, Shouta confided in Shouzou about his dream of becoming a professional soccer player in Tokyo while also wanting to carry on his grandfather’s legacy. Igarashi was deeply moved by Shouta’s aspirations and decided to call off the demolition.

Following the events of the episode, Shiori was filled with regret for her earlier rudeness towards Shouzou for not attending high school. However, her feelings took a turn when she stumbled upon him studying high school materials at the library. This sight served as a motivation for her to work diligently and ultimately achieve a top nine ranking on her midterms.

At Mino’s school festival, Ine had apple juice spilled on her by accident. She was able to change into a school uniform thanks to the fashion design club’s students. When Shouzou saw her again, he noticed that Ine had returned to her true self, the one he had first met when she moved to the countryside. He had previously described her as an unattainable flower, but in reality, she was simply pretending.

During their time at the festival, they relished in the experience and reflected on how Shouzou’s inability to finish his education ultimately led him to meet Ine. In addition, the two of them lent a hand at Mino’s maid cafe and Shouzou assisted Shouta in asking Mino to the bonfire dance.

The episode concluded with Ine having a dream about the giant hourglass once again. She was reminded that she needed to turn it over in order to return to her former self and complete some important paperwork at the government office the following day. Regrettably, she slipped and struck her head on the frame of the hourglass. Upon waking up, Shouzou was shocked to find that Ine’s hair had turned black and she had no recollection of her past memories.
