Greedfall 2: The Dying World features several unique companions. Let’s explore them all:
The Nile
Nílan is a fellow tribesman and a sage candidate from your Tribe. His devotion to the tribe exceeds that of the main character, viewing outsiders as savage invaders. Consequently, he often initiates confrontations with settlers. Nílan’s combat style primarily revolves around the Bow and Arrow, complemented by healing spells.
Witness
Sheda is another starting companion introduced alongside Nilan. She is protective of him and ensures that both of you stay out of trouble, embodying the role of a responsible older sister in your starting trio. As a warrior, she wields blunt and heavy weapons in combat and acts as the frontline of your team. Note that she is a temporary party member and will not be available for the entire game.
Faust
Fausta is a highly skilled diplomat hailing from a noble family. You can unlock her as a companion shortly after the game’s prologue during The Escape quest, when you meet her inside the prison. Despite her noble background, Fausta was banished for her rebellious nature and adventurous spirit. She often masks her solitary self depending on her audience and utilizes powerful spells and magic in combat.
Alvida
Alvida is another companion you encounter after the prologue; she joins your party following your escape from prison during The Escape quest. She possesses a strong moral compass and adheres to the Naut traditions inherited from her mother, showcasing a will of steel. Alvida is a mobile fighter who wields short swords in combat.
Sybille
Sybille, another noblewoman, was raised in the realms of diplomacy and politics, which significantly influences her actions to often serve her personal interests. You can recruit Sybille after completing The Escape quest and proceeding into the sewers during the Escape from Olima quest.
Ludwig
The final companion you recruit is Ludwig, who joins your party after successfully completing the Escape from Olima quest and exiting the sewers. A former soldier who has witnessed war’s horrors, Ludwig despises the concept of heroes and does not see himself as one. He is known for his straightforwardness, disdain for false politeness, and aggressiveness towards those who oppress the weak and poor.
