Some GTA 6 fans speculate that Sony may be responsible for the lack of a second trailer, causing them to eagerly await any new updates.
When GTA 6’s first official trailer was unveiled by Rockstar Games in late 2023, it caused a frenzy on the internet. The trailer broke viewing records and remained a trending topic for several days.
Moving ahead a few months, Rockstar has remained relatively silent. The company has shifted their focus to developing the highly anticipated new Grand Theft Auto game within the confines of their office, causing frustration among some developers. However, they have not released any additional updates or announcements.
Some fans are currently speculating about the release date of the follow-up trailer and in-game screenshots. The prevailing theory is that October might be the month of release. However, others believe that the release will be delayed until Sony unveils their PS5 Pro console.

He believes that Rockstar is waiting for Sony to unveil their new console so they can include a “captured on PS5 Pro”tagline in the next trailer. Additionally, he speculates that Sony may have a marketing deal for GTA 6 as well.”

According to one source, Sony announced at the 2020 Showcase that they will be partnering with Rockstar for the upcoming generation, beginning with the release of GTA 5 expanded.
There have been speculations that the PlayStation team may hold a State of Play event in late September, which could potentially offer some insights for fans eagerly anticipating the release of GTA 6.
