GTA 6 Leak Unveils Story Details, Game Length, Heist Missions, and More Insights

A wealth of new information regarding GTA 6 has reportedly leaked, unveiling details about the game’s storyline length, expected missions, and much more.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto VI have been incredibly eager for Rockstar Games to share more insights about this highly-anticipated title since the release of its first trailer in December 2023.

While Rockstar confirmed a release window for Fall 2025, they have remained silent on specifics, leaving players hungry for updates about gameplay elements and plans for the upcoming installment.

In early September, YouTuber LegacyKillaHD published a detailed thread on X, sharing insights he gathered from conversations with developers about the next installment of the franchise.

According to LegacyKilla, while GTA 6 will have a shorter main storyline compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, it will still offer a massive world filled with a “sh*t load of side content.”

The YouTuber also emphasized that, although GTA 6 might be more “grounded” compared to GTA 5, fans can still expect extravagant missions reminiscent of the series, including some scenarios inspired by the Fast & Furious films.

Specifically, he mentioned the iconic vault chase scene from Fast 5, indicating that Rockstar has a similar sequence planned for GTA 6.

He also supported earlier Reddit leaks suggesting that Lucia will serve as the game’s central character, paralleling Michael from GTA V, and that both she and Jason will feature separate introductions.

Although he didn’t specify the leak he was referring to, it’s likely he was talking about an October 2023 Reddit thread which claimed that Lucia has a baby whom she abandons at a delicatessen before engaging in a bank robbery that leads to her arrest.

“One central theme from various sources is criminals figuring things out, along with family struggles,” he noted. “Expect corrupt police and chaos, as well as Russians causing mayhem—all classic elements of a GTA game.”

This aligns with the earlier mentioned Reddit leak that suggested in the game’s initial mission, players will control Jason as he tracks a plane carrying a Russian drug dealer he collaborates with.

Additionally, LegacyKilla claims that a new GTA Online mode has been under development for several years and noted that some features, like voiced protagonists, were removed.

He also mentioned that a basketball minigame, which was being developed at the Toronto studio, has been scrapped. “It was on the chopping block at the end of 2023. It’s always challenging discussing a game still in development. There’s a lot more RDR2 gameplay influence in this than some may anticipate,” he explained.

The leaker mentioned his initial plan was to disclose this information in a YouTube video, but he opted to share it via a thread on X instead. He concluded by hinting that a delay until 2026 is “still very much possible.”

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has consistently reiterated its commitment to launching GTA 6 in Fall 2025, although an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

Take-Two remains firm in its goal to release GTA 6 in Fall 2025.

Journalist Jason Schreier reached out to six Rockstar employees, who claimed they had not been informed of any potential delays. However, he noted, “For all I know, Rockstar’s executive team could have decided months ago to delay GTA VI without informing the team.”

As always, it’s best to take this information with caution until Rockstar officially confirms any details. That said, there have been significant leaks regarding GTA 6 over the years, including a major hack in 2022 that led to the early release of developmental footage revealing the return to Vice City, the characters Lucia and Jason as protagonists, new weapons, and much more.
