A wave of new GTA 6 leaks has recently gained attention after it emerged that Rockstar’s parent company initiated a copyright strike against a YouTuber who reported on these developments.
In September, insider LegacyKillaHD shared several leaks regarding GTA VI on X, offering insights into various aspects of the game’s production.
These leaks encompassed mission types, the influence of Fast and Furious on certain heists, the game’s storyline, and a comparison of its length relative to Red Dead Redemption 2.
Nonetheless, when YouTuber Cyber Boi created a video discussing these leaks, he was met with a copyright strike from Take-Two Interactive.
According to Cyber Boi, he did not utilize any leaked gameplay footage but instead included clips from GTA 5 while summarizing LegacyKilla’s information.
Cyber Boi is convinced that this copyright action suggests the validity of the leaks. He further mentioned that other YouTubers, too, have experienced content removal for discussing the details of these leaks.
He also commented on the copyright strike on Reddit, stating: “Earlier this year, Take-Two outsourced their content ID system to a third-party company. They no longer pursue claims for leaked footage. However, in the last 24 hours, they have been actively claiming tweets related to leaks (especially images, even those generated by AI). They’ve also targeted gameplay clips.”
“I’ve spoken with five other YouTubers who reported similar issues. It appears they are tightening their grip on leaked information,” he added.
While the YouTuber believes that the copyright strike may not be upheld, it does raise intriguing questions regarding the authenticity of LegacyKilla’s leaks.
Naturally, until Rockstar provides an official announcement regarding GTA 6, it’s wise to approach all of this information with caution. Fans are eagerly anticipating the company to share additional material, such as screenshots or a second trailer, yet there has been no definitive timeline disclosed for these updates.
Nevertheless, recent job listings from Rockstar are sparking hope among fans that the wait may be nearing its end, particularly as the game is projected for release in the Fall 2025.
