The gameplay leaks from 2022 offered enthusiasts their initial look at an updated Vice City, showcasing new characters, gameplay mechanics, and various other features.
Quickly, players used these leaks to construct a detailed map of the fictional state of Leonida, leading to fascinating developments since the project’s inception.
On October 18, a contributor to the mapping initiative disclosed that the game will encompass a version of Gainesville Raceway from Florida, crediting ‘Giovanni_Tirado_48′ for the find.
“You can observe a map of the southern area of Port Gellhorn, which includes a race track,” they indicated. “Interestingly, the satellite imagery of Gainesville Raceway aligns perfectly.”
The inclusion of a Gainesville Raceway replica in GTA 6 aligns with Rockstar’s tradition of integrating real-life elements into their fictional worlds.
The user noted, “Nearly 500 identifiable real-world buildings and landmarks have been cataloged already. It’s quite wild that it took two years to discover this one.”
A drag racing venue promises to bring lively, if somewhat unpredictable, gameplay, and it’s anticipated that missions or mini-games may take place here during the story mode.
