GTA 6 Trailer Reveals Impressive NPC Count, Outshining GTA 5

Fans of GTA 6 have noticed an intriguing element in the recently released trailer, highlighting the game’s potential for a much more expansive and intricate experience compared to its predecessor, GTA 5.

After a prolonged period of silence, Rockstar Games finally unveiled the first glimpse of GTA 6 in December 2023. While this reveal didn’t delve deeply into gameplay mechanics or narrative specifics, it quench the thirst of many fans eagerly awaiting the new installment.

Following the trailer’s debut, both Rockstar and its publisher Take-Two have returned to a hush, providing no additional updates or insights regarding GTA 6 since that initial showcase.

This lack of information has led fans to dissect the 90-second trailer repeatedly. Some enthusiasts have viewed it thousands of times, eagerly searching for missed details. Earlier in August, one keen-eyed viewer spotted shadowy figures in certain clips.

Most recently, Reddit user great_maccc conducted another thorough analysis of the trailer and uncovered an astonishing count of over 630 NPCs featured. In contrast, the original GTA 5 trailer included merely 71 NPCs, signaling Rockstar’s commitment to an almost tenfold increase in game detail this time around.

One fan expressed their excitement, stating, “I hope for a significant boost in NPC density. I’ve speculated for years that increasing population density would be a major milestone for the GTA franchise.”

Another fan commented, “This is truly insane! It clearly illustrates just how much larger and more impressive this game is set to be! I can hardly wait!” A third user exclaimed, “This is madness.”

With 2025 on the horizon, many fans have been vocal about their desire for some form of communication from Rockstar, whether that be additional screenshots, another trailer, or brief teasers — they just want any updates. Given that nearly a year has passed since the initial trailer, many believe it’s time for some new content.
