GTA 7 Speculations Arise Among Fans Ahead of GTA 6 Release

It’s quite astonishing that even before the release of GTA 6, fans of Grand Theft Auto are already speculating about the potential of GTA 7. Yes, you read that correctly.

For an extended period, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been the standout title that gamers eagerly await. Rockstar’s lack of communication regarding this highly sought-after game has occasionally heightened excitement, while at other times, it has generated frustration among the fanbase.

As we inch closer to the end of 2024, the release of the game draws nearer. Admittedly, we will likely wait most of 2025 for its launch, but simply being within the release window will be enough to keep many fans engaged.

Nevertheless, in the world of GTA, it’s nearly impossible to please every fan. Some are already casting their sights beyond Grand Theft Auto 6, dreaming up concepts for the next installment, GTA 7. Yes, this is indeed a valid observation.

Much of the discussion among GTA enthusiasts revolves around potential settings for GTA 7. With GTA 6 revisiting Vice City, alongside a broader representation of Florida – which has been renamed Leonida – and Los Angeles being a familiar backdrop from previous titles, fans are curious about new locales.

“GTA 7 should be set in a smaller city, like Minnesota or Las Vegas, or even Washington, where there are more open country areas to explore,” suggested one fan, expressing a desire for rural settings. Chicago and Texas have also been part of the ongoing conversation.

Honestly, Chicago seems like a solid option by u/almighty_dic_weed in GTA7

Of course, humor is never far from the GTA community. “GTA 6 will release before we see GTA 7,” one user quipped. Another added, “GTA 7 will at least have graphics, a single playable character, and two button configurations.”

In the past, Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick has playfully referenced the future of GTA 7, noting how long it might take Rockstar to produce new titles.

While it seems the GTA series could potentially go on indefinitely, there are other franchises that Rockstar may want to pivot to after GTA 6. Fans remain hopeful for something like Bully 2 or a revival of Midnight Club.
