Guardians Express Disappointment as Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris Replaced by New PVP Map Test

PvP-oriented Guardians were disappointed by the announcement from Destiny 2 developers that Trials of Osiris would be cancelled this week for the purpose of testing a set of fresh PvP maps.

PvP enthusiasts of Destiny 2 are feeling disappointed with the recent statement from Bungie. The developers have revealed their decision to cancel the highly-anticipated PvP mode, Trials of Osiris, in order to conduct testing for new maps during the upcoming weekend.

The ultimate PvP experience in Destiny 2 is Trials of Osiris, where players are rewarded for achieving a perfect victory. This includes prestigious rewards such as Adept weapons and a chance to visit The Lighthouse, a legendary location. As the mode is highly competitive, it is only available on weekends, but will not be active this upcoming weekend.

Despite the anticipation of the PvP community, this weekend’s Trials of Osiris has been canceled by the developers in order to test the newly released PvP maps. This decision has caused disappointment among many players who were eager to participate in the game mode.

“FalloutPlays, a content creator for Destiny 2, expressed uncertainty about whether or not this was the call.”

A number of other players proposed the idea of playing Trials of Osiris on the new maps, as they were specifically created with 3v3 teams in mind.

“Could we have Trials with the new maps in rotation instead? After all, they were specifically designed for 3v3 matches, right?”Inquired a player on Twitter.

As stated in the TWID, the newly released maps were designed for 3v3 gameplay and are based on locations from Destiny 2. These include a map set on Europa, another on Neptune, and a final one located on a terraformed pyramid ship.

Those who take part in the playtest this weekend will also be rewarded with a unique emblem, providing some form of consolation for Trials enthusiasts.
