Killer Klowns From Outer Space features the Hand of Fate mechanic, which enables you to support your remaining teammates by completing a brief minigame. If you successfully complete the minigame, you will have the chance to draw one of three cards. These cards are completely random and provide a variety of items, including weapons, first aid kits, and primarily food items that offer healing and buffs, such as increased stamina regeneration. With these cards, you can aid your team and increase your chances of survival.

In order to give these items to your fellow team members, you will need to complete a variety of minigames. I have discovered two so far, one of which requires you to stop a moving target on a grid in order to burst a set of balloons. As you advance, the target will become faster and you must hit the balloons directly to pop them.

The second mini-game requires you to correctly highlight various boxes to match the provided sample as the indicator moves across each box. If you time it correctly, the corresponding box will be highlighted. To win the game, you must successfully highlight all of the required boxes, which is typically six.

The more successful you are in the minigame, the higher quality card you will receive as a drop. Once you obtain a card, you have the option to either immediately give it to a teammate by scrolling through the list of living survivors and selecting the prompt, or you can save the card for future use.
