Guide: How to Obtain the Balance of Power Exotic in Destiny 2

The Final Shape has arrived and Destiny 2 will be forever changed. One of the major changes is the introduction of numerous new Exotic items for every class, including the Balance of Power.

Obtaining Exotics will require a different approach than what Guardians are accustomed to. Traditional methods of acquisition will no longer be effective, as new systems have been implemented with reduced RNG factors to consider.

Balance of Power, a pair of Exotic Hunter legs, features the exclusive perk Double Down. This perk extends the duration of Threaded Specter and increases its damage output. Additionally, whenever the legs are damaged, they release a higher number of Threadlings compared to the unenhanced version.

Despite its introduction into the game with Lightfall, Strand has remained a strong weapon and is unlikely to lose its power. However, the effects of Balance of Power may be considered underwhelming, especially when taking into account the existence of items like Sixth Coyote.

Where to Obtain the Balance of Power Exotic in Destiny 2

The only way to obtain the Balance of Power Exotic is through a drop from Master Rahool, the reputation vendor in The Final Shape. Players can increase their reputation levels by decrypting Prime or Exotic Engrams with him.

Focused Exotic decryption can be utilized through Rahool, but only after unlocking access. To do so, Guardians must reach the reputation cap and then reset, which will grant them access to certain items in exchange for an Exotic Engram and an Exotic Cypher.

Regrettably, individuals seeking a wider selection of Exotics from their farms will not have luck with Legend and Master Lost Sectors, as they will not yield Balance of Power. Furthermore, Rahool’s Exotics from The Final Shape cannot be obtained through Vex Incursions.
