As a ruler in Elder Scrolls Castles, you’ll face many challenging decisions that impact the well-being of your subjects and the strength of your dynasty. One of the important choices is to remove subjects with negative traits that can adversely affect your other units. Here’s how to remove units in Elder Scrolls Castles and why it’s essential to take action.
How to Banish Units in Elder Scrolls Castles
Here’s how to remove units in Elder Scrolls Castles:
- Drop a unit over the Castle Wall
- Make a Ruling that banishes them
Fortunately, the game doesn’t penalize you for banishing rulers, regardless of how frequently you do it. Don’t hesitate to remove units that are unproductive or causing issues with happiness among your other workers. For instance, a subject with a Bossy trait can lower the happiness of their coworkers. Instead of trying to boost their happiness, which can waste valuable production time, it’s often better to simply banish the Bossy subject.
Drop a Subject over the Castle Wall
To manually remove a unit in Elder Scrolls Castles, simply drag it to the far-left side of the screen and drop it over the castle wall. This action will banish them from your dynasty and eliminate them from the game. This is the most straightforward method since you control who you banish and when. Additionally, there is another method available when making rulings.
Make a Ruling That Banishes Subjects
In addition to dropping a subject over the castle wall, you can also remove a unit by selecting a ruling to banish them. For instance, if a subject informs you that another subject is conspiring with Morrowind, you have the option to banish the offending subject. This action not only banishes the unit but can also increase happiness for the reporting subject. However, be cautious not to inadvertently banish a unit you wish to retain, as rulings can be unpredictable.
Now that you understand how to remove units in Elder Scrolls Castles, you can effectively eliminate subjects with negative traits and retain only those that enhance your dynasty!
