Guide to Acquire the REV-8 Vehicle in Starfield Before Shattered Space Release

When Starfield was released, players enthusiastically clamored for land vehicles, as traversing the vast planets on foot proved to be quite laborious. Although Todd Howard initially shared the reasoning behind the absence of vehicles, the team later revised their decision and introduced the REV-8 with the update on August 20.

The Shattered Space expansion is set to launch on September 30. If you haven’t acquired the REV-8 yet, now is the time to ensure you have it for exploring Va’ruun’kai.

  3. Spend 25,000 Credits to obtain the REV-8.
  4. Fly to a different planet, where you will find the REV-8 parked next to your ship.

The controls for the REV-8 are intuitive, as its movement is fully managed through the left stick or directional keys, without a dedicated reverse or brake button.

You can, however, activate the boost thrusters by pressing RB (on controller) or Shift (on keyboard) to accelerate quickly and leap across obstacles. The vertical boost can be activated with the jump key to propel the vehicle upwards, allowing access to high areas that would ordinarily be unreachable.

While using the REV-8, you’re not left defenseless; it is equipped with a potent built-in laser turret that you can aim and fire just like any weapon.

Moreover, pressing X on the controller or R on the keyboard will activate the horn, and you have the option to switch to first-person view using the change POV button.
