Guide to Acquiring the Bow in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The Bow is an essential asset within The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Once you acquire the Bow of Might, it becomes an indispensable tool in your adventure. The game offers a considerable amount of freedom regarding how to progress through its various paths. However, we highly recommend obtaining the Bow of Might as early as possible to enhance your gameplay experience.

Locating the Bow of Might in Echoes of Wisdom

Your quest for the Bow of Might culminates in a showdown with Bow Link, whom you’ll encounter in the Gerudo Sanctum dungeon.

As you progress through the dungeon, you’ll meet Link around its mid-section. Before this encounter, be prepared for a battle against Cat Statues and the Gibdo enemies. You’ll need to defeat them, capture the Cat Statue Echo, and navigate using a Trampoline to bypass green boxes that block your way forward.

Take a moment in the brief corridor after that room to regain any lost Hearts before the imminent confrontation with Link.

The initial phase of the battle against Bow Link is manageable, even though he wields a long-range weapon while you do not. Fortunately, your Echoes can provide essential support here. You can choose from various fighting Echoes, with some being more effective for this encounter than others.

Utilizing flying Echoes can be particularly advantageous since they require minimal Tri-Power, allowing you to summon multiple Echoes simultaneously—one to distract Bow Link while another attacks. Alternatively, Piranha Echoes are a stellar choice as they navigate the sandy arena effortlessly and remain immune while submerged.

Activate Sword Fighter Form to bolster your Echoes’ capabilities. Use the Shield to deflect arrows being shot at you; if you exhaust the fighting power of your Sword Form, spinning can also deflect attacks. The combat becomes significantly more challenging once the second phase initiates.

After this stage, Bow Link duplicates himself into three entities, which increases the complexity of the battle. Each of the three retains the same attack patterns, so continue using the same strategies as before. You’ll need to become more engaged in the Sword Fighter Form and stay vigilant to track all three Links simultaneously. With persistence and smart use of your Piranha Echoes, you will eventually defeat Bow Link and claim the Bow of Might.

Utilizing the Bow of Might Effectively

Once acquired, the Bow of Might can be wielded only during Sword Fighter Form. To switch into this form, press up on the D-Pad, then use the X button to equip the Bow of Might. A quick tap on X will shoot a single arrow, while holding it down unleashes a powerful triple-shot.

The enhanced triple-arrow shot is particularly useful for clearing groups of enemies when you find yourself overwhelmed in combat.
