Guide to Acquiring the Firework Flare Gun in Fortnite

During Fortnite’s Birthday celebration, the Flare Gun makes a grand return, now reimagined as the Firework Flare Gun.

Epic Games is going all out to mark Fortnite’s 7th Birthday, which includes introducing the exciting Firework Flare Gun. This innovative weapon allows you to illuminate nearby enemies and drive them out with an explosion of fireworks.

However, with the plethora of shiny updates, locating the Firework Flare Gun can prove to be quite challenging. Not to mention, mastering its effective usage is another endeavor altogether!

Keep in mind, this gem is a rare catch.

The Firework Flare Gun can be located in birthday presents as well as traditional chests, though the spawn rate in regular chests is considerably low.

Birthday presents can be found as floor loot, within chests, or obtained through supply drops. Do remember that they are legendary items, making them a bit tricky to find.

Once you’ve acquired a present, equip it and choose a secure spot to throw it. You can then break one of its walls to unveil what’s inside – with any luck, you’ll uncover a Firework Flare Gun or perhaps even a Birthday Medallion.

As mentioned by the official Fortnite Status account, there was a bug that temporarily prevented the Firework Flare Gun from spawning during the early hours of the update, but this issue has since been resolved.

This weapon is not just visually striking; it’s also a great tool for tracking adversaries.

The Firework Flare Gun functions similarly to the classic Flare Gun. It enables you to identify and mark enemies with a red marker positioned above their heads. Once fired, it marks opponents within a 50m radius for a duration of one minute.

An added benefit of the Firework Flare Gun is its ability to ignite wooden structures. Therefore, if you enjoy playing the standard Battle Royale mode, you can set your opponents’ wooden constructions on fire, provided they haven’t used sturdier materials.

With all the features added in update v31.20, you might also want to catch up on the free skins, such as Felina.
