To unlock the Ice Breaker Exotic, players must complete the Vesper’s Host dungeon. Access to this dungeon requires purchasing The Final Shape + Annual Pass edition, which includes the newest expansion and the Vesper’s Host Dungeon Key.
Next, players should obtain the Rogue Network quest from Spider located in the Last City. This quest will enable the Vesper’s Host node on the Europa map. Additionally, you must have a Power Level of 1985, which is the maximum for all encounters within the dungeon. Note that you’ll need to assemble your own Fireteam, as automatic matchmaking is not available.
The Ice Breaker has a chance to drop upon defeating the final boss of Vesper’s Host, The Corrupted Puppeteer, but it is not a guaranteed drop. If it doesn’t drop, players will need to repeat the dungeon for another chance. Note that players can complete the dungeon once a week on each character, allowing for three attempts per week with different characters.
Boosting Your Odds for the Ice Breaker in Destiny 2
Each time the dungeon is completed without receiving the Exotic weapon, your chances of obtaining it increase. To further enhance the drop rate for the Ice Breaker, players can complete the following Triumphs:
- Alone in the Dark: Complete all encounters in Vesper’s Host solo.
- Buried Secrets: Collect all six collectibles scattered within the dungeon.
- Stationmaster: Successfully finish the Vesper’s Host on Master difficulty.
