Wingdrake Hide is a vital crafting material for armor upgrades in Monster Hunter Wilds. This guide will navigate you through the best methods to acquire Wingdrake Hide efficiently.

Acquiring Wingdrake Hide in Monster Hunter Wilds

Wingdrake Hide can be sourced from two common flying Small Monsters found in the game: Harpios and Baunos. These creatures are frequently located in various regions, including the Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, and Windward Plains.

These flying monsters typically travel in packs of four or five. To locate them effectively, access the mini-map by pressing the appropriate button on the bottom left corner of your screen. Next, head to the right and select “Filter Icons” from the options. Here, you can choose “Small Monsters” from the filter list to highlight Harpios and Baunos.

Once you spot the monsters, mark their location with a waypoint and proceed to engage them. You will notice them flying overhead; use your Slinger to bring them down. After stunning them, strike quickly with your weapon to dispatch them before they escape.

Carving the remains of both Harpios and Baunos guarantees a drop of Wingdrake Hide. Low Rank variants will yield standard Wingdrake Hide, while hunting High Rank versions will reward you with Wingdrake Hide+.

To maximize your farming efficiency for Harpios and Baunos, consider positioning yourself near a Pop-Up Camp. This allows for necessary rest periods while new monsters respawn nearby.

By following the outlined strategies, you can obtain as much Wingdrake Hide as needed. For additional tips, check out our guide on locating Firestone in Monster Hunter Wilds.
