Children’s Entertainment is a coveted achievement in WoW: The War Within that, while appearing straightforward, has its complexities.
The crux of the Children’s Entertainment achievement is engaging in all six games played by the orphans of Mereldar, alongside two challenge mode variants. To achieve this, you’ll need a minimum of two in-game days.
First and foremost, you must wait for the World Quest to activate (which happens frequently). You can only engage with the orphans during its active period, and you’re limited to completing four games per session, hence requiring a second day to finish.
Additionally, it’s crucial to complete three normal games followed by one challenge mode game each time you visit. If you start with a challenge game, it will count as four completions, which will terminate the world quest for that day.
Here’s a thorough guide to help you obtain the Children’s Entertainer achievement.
Where to Find the Children’s Entertainer Achievement
To commence, travel to Hallowfall and proceed to Mereldar in the northern part of the zone. The world quest should appear on your map; if not, locate it at the spot indicated on the map above, to the east of the Veneration Grounds.
Upon arrival, you will see groups of children gathered outside the orphanage, ready to play various games. Interact with them to get started.
Complete Guide to the Children’s Entertainer Achievement
Who is the Scariest?
This is the simplest game. Head upstairs in the orphanage and find three children sitting in a circle debating about the scariest enemy in Arathi. When you speak to them, they’ll ask for your opinion.
Select Nerubians as your answer to quickly complete this game.
Scary Monster
Next, find three children near some climbing equipment who will tell you about a frightening monster. You’ll need to embody this monster by pressing the four action buttons, entertaining the audience.
Hit the Target
This game is also quite simple. Speak to the kids by the archery targets, and they will challenge you to throw a rock at a makeshift enemy. Successfully hitting the target will mark this game as completed.
Hide and Seek
The standard version of hide and seek is easy. Approach the orphan by the door and accept his challenge; your screen will display a proximity bar that indicates how close you are to the hidden child.
Once you fill the bar completely, a silhouette of the orphan will be revealed, allowing you to complete this game.
Tag
To start a game of Tag, interact with the two children running in circles outside the orphanage. All you need to do is catch one of them by clicking on them to officially complete this segment.
The Floor is Undersea
This game is arguably the most challenging of the basic tasks. Start by talking to the singular orphan by the fence; she’ll instruct you to traverse along the fence without falling or being caught by tentacles.
Demon Hunters and Evokers will have an advantage here since they can glide farther along the path. If you tumble off, you must restart. Reach the orphan at the finish line and interact with her to complete the game.
The challenge mode can be initiated in the same area and retains the same premise, but is more difficult. If you navigate the corners carefully, jumping can be tricky; mastering this method will help ease progression.
Hide and Seek Challenge
The Hide and Seek challenge deserves special mention. Although it operates on the same principle as the regular version, it poses a greater challenge. After you engage with the same orphan outside the orphanage, the proximity bar reappears.
A white wisp will guide you in a specific direction, and your goal is to track down your target. The twist is that the child you are trying to find doesn’t follow the rules and keeps shifting about. Stick to the path indicated by the wisp and you should eventually find him, although he may look almost transparent.
When you interact with him, you will have successfully completed the final game and the achievement! Plus, for those in the market for new gear, there’s a fantastic trinket that casters should definitely seek out.
