Starfield: Shattered Space introduces numerous exciting quests, including the Fallen Footsteps mission. To unlock this quest, first complete the Lost and Found mission. After that, visit the House of Healing and speak with Vassilis Voria to receive the Fallen Footsteps quest, which involves addressing a Vortex Phantom at an Orphanage.
How to Complete the Fallen Footsteps Quest
Upon accepting the quest, proceed to the Orphanage as indicated on the map.
Inside the Orphanage, you will encounter two locked doors in the room.
Locate the data slate named “Orphanage: Lessons” . Collect it and ensure to listen closely to the entire dialogue, as it contains a crucial clue.
At the conclusion of the dialogue, the children will be instructed to “clear the table” . There are several tables in the room, but you only need to pick up one item. After this action, the first door will open automatically.
Enter through the door and utilize your scanner to identify the footsteps, leading you to another slate titled “Orphanage: Chores” . Collect this slate and head to the opposite side of the room, where a data slate pad is located. Place your collected slate onto this pad.
Next, search the shelves next to a fire extinguisher, where you’ll find a Jam Jar at the top. This jar contains the Orphanage Keycard. Use this keycard to unlock the second door.
Once inside the second room, you’ll notice another set of locked doors. Go to the bathroom and open the third stall from the right to retrieve the Storage Box Keycard.
Locate the Storage Box outside the bathroom and open it to find the “Orphanage: Bell” data slate. After listening to its content, enter the room across from the locked door containing several beds.
Look for a side table near a drawing of a rainbow, where you’ll find a bell. Interact with the bell to unlock the door.
Proceed through the door and head upstairs. The Vortex Phantom awaits you here. Remember, interacting with her directly will be futile. You must defeat the Vortex Phantom to finish the quest.
Finally, return to Vassilis Voria at the House of Healing to complete the Fallen Footsteps quest. You will earn a reward of 1,000 Credits.
