Guide to obtain Sun Wukong’s Jingubang Staff in Black Myth: Wukong

Despite the limited number of weapons available in Black Myth: Wukong, it cannot be denied that they are effective in completing the task at hand. The role of the staff is crucial in defeating even the most challenging bosses. Speaking of which, have you been introduced to the powerful Jingubang Staff?

The Jingubang Staff, belonging to Sun Wukong, is one of the most powerful weapons in Black Myth: Wukong. It can be found in Chapter 6, hidden within the Water Curtain Cave. Obtaining this weapon is a challenging task, as it requires defeating four bosses:

  • Gold Armored Rhino
  • Cloudtreading Deer
  • Feng-Tail General
  • Emerald-Armed Mantis

Your main objective should be to eliminate the Rhino’s horn. Continue attacking it even after it breaks, and repeat this process until it regenerates. Keep repeating until the boss is ultimately defeated.

Avoid his attacks and accumulate focus. When an opening presents itself, execute a Heavy Attack on its horn.

Cloudtreading Deer

The Cloudtreading Deer is a formidable creature known for its wind-based attacks. Despite having low health, it can be a difficult opponent due to its ability to attack from a distance and evade. During the initial stage, it will utilize moves such as Horn Whirlwind and Horn Shove.

Despite being the second phase, it is not a simple task to defeat. It has the ability to unleash tornadoes or use a blood-based attack. Any of these can cause a significant loss of up to half of your health. In this battle, swift attacks are your best defense.

Feng-Tail General

To defeat the boss, you can utilize the Somersault Cloud to mount its back and target its antennae. However, be prepared for the boss to constantly move and jump, draining your stamina. If your stamina is not upgraded, you will quickly be thrown off its back. Therefore, it is crucial to upgrade your stamina before engaging in the fight.

Emerald-Armed Mantis

In this battle, there are two stages, so it is best to save your spells for the second half. When the Mantis uses its claws to attack, try to evade until it retracts them. It will take a brief moment for the Mantis to pull its claws back out, so take advantage of this opportunity to strike.

In the second phase, utilize Immobilize to disrupt his movements. The boss is agile and attacks frequently, so it is important to stay alert. Once you land a powerful blow, take advantage of the opportunity to use A Pluck of Many and attack aggressively.

Once you have successfully defeated the aforementioned bosses, your next task is to navigate to a different location.

Use your Somersault Cloud to rise above the arena where you battled the Emerald-Armed Mantis.

Search for a tree with golden leaves and a waterfall next to it. Proceed to that location and make your way through the narrow passage.

When you reach the end of the passageway, make sure to engage with the staff positioned there to initiate a cutscene. Once the cutscene concludes, you will receive the Jingubang Staff.
