The Valorant Champions tournament is the most highly anticipated event of the year, and Riot Games plans to reward players with in-game cosmetics through drops for watching the tournament online and accurately predicting the teams that will advance in the bracket.
Riot has announced that the 2024 installment of Valorant Champions will include two cosmetic items for viewers, along with an event pass. The rewards for completing the event pass have not yet been disclosed.
The beta version of Pick’Ems will also provide incentives for players based on their ability to accurately predict which teams will advance in the tournament.
The new Pick’Ems rewards and Twitch drops will be available for viewers to receive.
Claiming Twitch Drops
The steps for claiming Champions 2024 drops are straightforward. Simply follow these instructions:
- Make your way to Valorant’s official Twitch or YouTube channels, where all official broadcasts will have “Drops Enabled” throughout the designated schedule. Your task will be to locate the broadcasts that have this option enabled.
- Link your Valorant account to the platform.
- Tune in to the livestreams for the necessary duration.
During the event, players can receive two cosmetics by watching the actions for 30 minutes to an hour. The specific time frame and content of these cosmetics are stated below.
The cosmetics Valorant players can earn for watching Champions 2024.
- Spray/ Tacticpenguin: Watch a game between August 1 – August 24
- Player Card/ Jett Hanbok: Watch a game on August 25
Pick ‘Ems Rewards
This year, Valorant is introducing official Pick ‘Ems for players to take part in. These can be accessed through the in-game client or the Valorant esports website, and Riot will be rewarding those who make accurate predictions.
Players are required to submit their picks twice, once for each stage of the event. The deadline for group stage picks is August 1, and playoff stage picks can be made between August 11-14.
In addition, players will receive a spray simply by participating. The specific rewards and level of accuracy required for your bracket are outlined below.
This is the first time Riot has integrated Pick’Ems into the Valorant client.
- Crystal Ball Spray: Participating
- Gonggi Buddy: Finish Top 50% in Pick’Ems
- Pick’Em Master Gonggi Buddy: Finish Top 20% in Pick’Ems
- 100% Title: Perfect Pick’Em Picks
The prizes will be distributed based on the accuracy of each player’s brackets and will be distributed one day after the event has ended.
