Guide to Playing Black Ops 6 via Game Pass

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 marks the inaugural title in the franchise to be accessible for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers right at its launch. Alongside BO6, both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will be available for streaming via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft in October 2023 paved the way for the integration of Call of Duty into the Xbox Game Pass ecosystem. Although MW3 was added to the service in July, Black Ops 6 represents the first opportunity for members to enjoy a new release from day one.

In addition to the Game Pass, Activision Blizzard has reiterated its commitment to enhancing player access to its games. Notably, in January 2024, Nvidia GeForce and Xbox Cloud Gaming were authorized to provide cloud gaming services on Apple iOS devices.

This approach also applies to Black Ops 6, as gamers will have various methods to play or stream the latest installment.

Understanding Black Ops 6 on Game Pass

Black Ops 6 will launch on Xbox Game Pass on October 25. Subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate will have complete access to the game on Xbox consoles, while PC users will get the standard edition.

Members on Game Pass Console can enjoy the campaign on either the Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One. However, it’s essential to remember that access to online features such as Multiplayer and Zombies requires a Game Pass Core membership or an upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.

For those utilizing Game Pass on PC, they will be able to play the Standard Edition through the Microsoft Store, granting access to campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes online.

Playing Black Ops 6, MW3, and Warzone via Xbox Cloud Gaming

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available for Game Pass Ultimate players via Xbox Cloud Gaming starting on October 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. PT.

On the same launch day, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also access MW3 and Warzone. Xbox Cloud Gaming enables gamers to stream these titles on mobile devices, select Samsung TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Meta Quest devices.

To explore which devices are compatible for streaming, players can log into their accounts at the Xbox Cloud Gaming website.
