Since the launch of the Absolute Doom season, fans of Fortnite have been eagerly anticipating a limited-time mode reminiscent of the popular Endgame LTM, Knockout LTM, and others from previous Marvel-themed seasons.
With the upcoming 31.20 patch, Epic has announced the much-anticipated Day of Doom LTM, which allows players to select a side – either Doom’s Army or the Avengers – while utilizing legendary superpowers to complete various objectives.
While the mode is not yet active in Fortnite, here’s how it works and how you can dive into the action.
How to Launch Day of Doom LTM in Fortnite
Find the Fortnite Day of Doom LTM in the Epic Discover row.
The Day of Doom LTM will be available in Fortnite’s Discover row under the ‘By Epic’ category. Once you locate the tile, click on it, then hit Select to load the mode in your lobby. Alternatively, players can find the LTM by searching for it by name in the Search tab.
According to Epic Games, this mode can support up to 32 players in a single lobby, who will be divided into two distinct teams: Doom’s Henchmen and Allies of the Avengers.
Day of Doom LTM Gameplay
As previously noted, the game mode will split players into two teams, each with unique objectives to secure victory.
The primary objective for Doom’s Henchmen is to collect all six Arcane Artifacts. Once all artifacts have been secured, the opposing team loses the ability to respawn. Eliminate all heroes throughout the map to claim victory.
Conversely, the Avengers must defeat Doom’s forces before they can gather the Artifacts. Doom’s Henchmen possess a limited number of respawns, so victory can be achieved once you and your fellow Avengers have nullified all their reinforcements.
While details about the loot pool remain under wraps, there are strong indications that the Avengers will have access to a plethora of superpowers, including Iron Man’s Repulsors, Captain America’s Shield, and Wolverine’s Claws.
Doom’s Henchmen, on the other hand, will utilize some contemporary weapons along with Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets to take down Avengers.
