Capcom is gearing up for the release of its latest installment, Monster Hunter Wilds, a highly anticipated title in the beloved Monster Hunter franchise. Set to launch on February 28, 2024, players will take on the role of a customizable Hunter as they embark on a quest through the ‘Forbidden Lands,’ a perilous region populated by various ferocious monsters, to locate a missing expedition crew.
While the release date may seem distant, fans can look forward to a limited-time Open Beta that has been announced by the developers.
1. Participating in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta
The Open Beta for Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC and Xbox from 8 PM PT on October 31 until 6:59 PM PT on November 3. For PlayStation users, it’s necessary to have an active PS Plus subscription in order to participate in the Open Beta.
Players will be granted complete access to character and Palico customization features, which can later be transferred to the full game upon its release. Additionally, the Beta includes the opportunity to experience cooperative hunts with friends, providing a taste of the full adventure ahead of the official launch.
2. Preloading Monster Hunter Wilds
To preload Monster Hunter Wilds on your PC:
- Pre-order the game
- Download the game and wait for it to finish
- Install it on your device
If you’re using PlayStation and have an active PS Plus subscription, simply log onto your console and navigate to the Black Ops 6 page in the PSN store after you’ve pre-ordered it to begin preload.
For Xbox users, you’ll need to log into your account on the Xbox console or the Microsoft store on PC to initiate the manual download.
Once you have preloaded Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll be ready to jump into the action as soon as the Open Beta begins!
