Guide to Playing Split-Screen Multiplayer in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite has undergone continuous enhancements, introducing new buildings, environments, and functionalities to the survival crafting game experience. Players can now engage in local play with a friend. Here’s how to enable split-screen multiplayer in LEGO Fortnite.

Initially, choose the LEGO Fortnite game mode from the various playlists available in the Fortnite lobby. Ensure that the second controller is properly connected to your console.

The second player must log into their personal console account. Participants need an individual account, as Guest and Quick Play accounts are not valid in LEGO Fortnite.

After logging in, the player will need to link their Epic Games account, giving them access to their characters and allowing progress on previous quests or battle passes. This way, they can seamlessly continue advancing their account when signing out from the other player’s console.

Once the second player completes the login process, they will appear in the lobby next to the first player. Both players can then select a world to load in LEGO Fortnite, where split-screen gameplay will activate automatically once the loading is complete.

As of now, split-screen multiplayer support in LEGO Fortnite is exclusive to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, this feature is not available for PC, Nintendo Switch, or mobile devices. However, LEGO Fortnite does enable cross-platform play, so players on the unsupported platforms will need to connect online with friends instead of playing locally on the same display.
