In honor of the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2, Treyarch has unveiled an exciting free trial for multiplayer and Zombies modes. This event allows fans to experience all the new features the latest season has to offer.
Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces significant updates, featuring three new maps: Bounty, Dealership, and Lifeline. Importantly, Ranked Play is currently testing Bounty and Dealership as potential permanent additions to the game’s rotation. Furthermore, players can now equip themselves with four new weapons, including the revamped PPSh-41 SMG and Cypher 091 AR, both of which are now strong contenders in the game’s meta.

The newly introduced Overdrive mode stands out by changing the traditional gameplay dynamics. Instead of the usual eliminations, players earn stars based on their performance:
- 1 Star: Basic Eliminations (body shot finishes)
- 2 Stars: Core Medal Eliminations (headshots, melee)
- 3 Stars: Distinguished Medal Eliminations (impressive takedowns)
Unlocking stars grants players special abilities:
- 1 Star: Awakened Senses: Highlights enemies through walls and restores health post-eliminations.
- 3 Stars: Physical Enhancements: Boosts movement and reload speed.
- 6 Stars: Augmented Handling: Enhances hip-fire accuracy and improves sprint-to-fire and ADS speeds.
Players can activate “Overdrives”when they achieve all three buffs, earning double stars until they get eliminated or the timer expires. The objective is straightforward: the first team to accumulate the maximum stars wins the match.
For those new to Zombies, the Directed Mode on Liberty Falls is an ideal starting point. It guides players through crucial steps to complete the main storyline easter egg while capping the maximum rounds at 15 to maintain a manageable difficulty level.
