When you first spot a Lizard Doggo, you’ll notice its skittish nature; these creatures tend to flee when approached. If you are within a few meters, they will run away from you. Although they move slowly, especially if you have gear like Blade Runners or a Jetpack, there won’t be any interaction prompt unless you successfully tame them first.

To tame a Lizard Doggo, you’ll need Paleberries. Once you have a couple of these berries, carefully walk towards the Lizard Doggo without startling it. Wait until the creature looks your way. At this point, you can place a Paleberry on the ground. The Lizard Doggo will eventually approach the berry, drawn by its presence. If it doesn’t notice you right away, it will likely be attracted to the berry sooner or later.

After the Lizard Doggo eats the Paleberry you dropped, it will become tamed and respond with an excited smile, ready to follow you wherever you go.

Once you have tamed your Lizard Doggo, interacting with it will bring up an inventory screen displaying a single available slot. This slot allows the Lizard Doggo to collect items randomly from a specified pool, which includes various ores, slugs, consumable foods from the environment, plants, creatures, a FICSIT cup, and some rifle ammunition.

You can periodically check on and pet your Lizard Doggo to retrieve items. However, most of the collected items, apart from slugs, may not hold much value. Many players utilize the inventory of the Lizard Doggo to manage nuclear waste disposal, though this method can be quite laborious. This process involves defeating the Lizard Doggo after offloading a stack of nuclear waste onto it and later taming another when it respawns.

Why would anyone wish to mistreat such a charming creature? If you are contemplating this strategy, consider building an efficient nuclear power system that automatically handles nuclear waste disposal instead.
