Understanding Theater Mode in Black Ops 6
Theater Mode enables players to record gameplay, capture screenshots, and manipulate video playback—they can fast forward, pause, slow down, or rewind footage from past matches.
This version of BO6 offers both first-person and third-person camera views, as well as a fly-cam feature available for all participants in a match. Players can easily track eliminations and deaths via a visual timeline, allowing them to jump directly to their next kill.
To initiate recording on Xbox or PlayStation within Theater Mode, simply press “Record.” However, it’s important to note that this feature is not supported on older consoles; thus, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will be unable to record their sessions.
Players can also capture footage from private matches, which serves as a great opportunity to use the fly-cam to navigate various maps and discover new strategic vantage points.
Keep in mind that all Theater files will expire after seven days or following a game update. To preserve your gameplay videos indefinitely, it’s advisable to manually record them using an external device, or by utilizing the PlayStation Share feature.
