New Episode of Physiognomy 101 Explores Comedic Insights
On December 26, the YouTube channel “TT Studio”released the latest installment of their popular series, Physiognomy 101. This third episode, titled “Past Lives: Parasite or Parasyte? Comedians to Their Core, Gwak Beom & Lee Chang-ho,” features an engaging discussion between the host, Eom Ji-yoon, and guest comedians Gwak Beom and Lee Chang-ho.
Guest Appearances and Controversial Parody
During the show, the trio delved into Gwak Beom’s recent work, including his parody of Bruno Mars in the “APT”music video. Eom Ji-yoon cleverly noted, “When discussing you two, we can’t skip your alter egos.” This led to some unexpected revelations.
Addressing Racism Allegations
In a moment of candidness, Gwak Beom acknowledged the controversy surrounding the parody, stating, “That turned into quite an issue.” Lee Chang-ho chimed in, noting the significant backlash, with many foreign viewers labeling the parody as racist.
Eom Ji-yoon probed deeper into Gwak Beom’s perspective, to which he responded, “You were there for the shoot; I just added a beard to my face. What part of that can be viewed as racist?” This led her to reflect on the differences in skin tone during the filming, showcasing an image that illustrated Gwak Beom’s darker complexion compared to the others present.
Insights from Physiognomist Park Sung-jun
As the conversation unfolded, the guests sought insights from physiognomist Park Sung-jun. Lee Chang-ho inquired about his prospects for success. Park responded, “Your face emanates a light-hearted energy. While you possess great ambition and a strong desire to succeed, a disconnect between your aspirations and reality may be impeding your progress.”
Eom Ji-yoon further asked, “What’s our working compatibility like?” Park replied affirmatively, “Energetically, Lee Chang-ho is drawn toward you.” This elicited laughter from the group when Eom Ji-yoon teasingly remarked, “That explains why he keeps calling me late at night to see if I’m awake,” concluding with a light-hearted quip, “He’s just like a parasite.”
