On October 2, Netflix unveiled a captivating collection of behind-the-scenes images and unreleased stills from “Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2, which has recently achieved the impressive status of ranking second in Netflix’s global TOP 10 non-English series.
Set in the backdrop of 2024 Seoul, the series follows the intertwined fates of Ho-jae (Park Seo-joon) and Chae-ok (Han So-hee), reminiscent of the events that transpired in Gyeongseong (modern-day Seoul). Their journey explores unresolved destinies and deep connections that began in the past.
Since its release on September 27, “Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2 has attracted 3.1 million viewers and has been featured in the TOP 10 lists across 20 countries, including Japan, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the UAE, and Nigeria, underscoring its global appeal.
To celebrate this success, Netflix presented new behind-the-scenes photos on October 2. The images capture moments from the 1945 Gyeongseong period to 2024 Seoul, illustrating the emotional connection between Ho-jae and Chae-ok. The stills highlight both the characters’ touching interactions and the camaraderie evident on set. Notably, the unreleased images showcase the long-standing relationship between Tae-sang and Chae-ok in Gyeongseong, as well as Ho-jae and Chae-ok in the present-day setting, which conveys the depth of their story over time. A sunlit photo of Ho-jae and Chae-ok sharing a smile sparks curiosity about their fate following the end of a prolonged ordeal.
Moreover, photos depicting Park Seo-joon, Han So-hee, and Lee Moo-saeng diligently engaging with their scenes reflect the dedication the actors have for delivering a top-tier performance in “Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2.
In contrast to his icy and ruthless role as Seung-jo, a candid shot of Bae Hyun-sung smiling showcases a different side of him off-camera. Additionally, behind-the-scenes images of Soo-hyun (Claudia Kim), who portrays Maeda, reveal a sense of warm camaraderie that contrasts sharply with their intense on-screen dynamics.
