Fans speculated whether Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, had secretly tied the knot until she clarified the situation.
Gypsy Rose, who has been dating Ken for five months, enjoyed a lovely evening at the well-known Japanese restaurant, Nobu.
After their date, Gypsy shared her experience on Instagram on September 8th, posting a photo of herself and Ken.
Fans noticed a notable detail in the picture that had not appeared in previous ones.
Ken, whom Gypsy first met in 2017 during her seven-year prison sentence for the second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, was seen wearing what looked like a black wedding band on his ring finger.
“Is that a wedding band on Ken?” one fan questioned. Gypsy quickly responded, “It is a promise ring that I gave to him.”
Some netizens questioned why Ken wore what seemed like a wedding band if they were not married, prompting fans to come to their defense. “It doesn’t matter why he’s wearing a wedding band. It’s what he wants to do,” commented one supporter.
Following the speculation of Gypsy’s marital status, sources close to her informed TMZ that the black band was bought at Zales for $275.
Reports indicated that Gypsy gave Ken the promise ring after their gender reveal on August 10th, when they discovered they were expecting a girl in January 2025.
Sources also mentioned that Gypsy prefers not to wear an engagement ring on her ring finger until her divorce from Ryan Anderson is finalized.
Gypsy and Ryan were married in July 2022, but their marriage ended just months later. In January, fans grew concerned after a viral interview where Gypsy nudged Ryan following a question, leading many to suggest something was amiss.
