Gypsy Rose’s Prison-Style Energy Drink Goes Viral as Fans Ask Her for Jail Hacks

Gypsy Rose revealed the recipe for a makeshift energy drink that she and fellow inmates created while she was incarcerated for nearly 10 years for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Despite the media attention on Gypsy Rose’s split from her husband Ryan Anderson in March of this year, she was focused on arranging plastic surgery procedures.

In early April, sources close to the star confirmed that she underwent a nose job in order to achieve a more “feminine”appearance.

Despite living her life to the fullest since her early release from prison in December 2023, Gypsy still looks back on her time in jail, having served 7 years for the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Therefore, when a follower on TikTok requested Gypsy to reveal her ‘prison hacks,’ she obliged by demonstrating to her 9.8M supporters how to prepare a homemade “prison-style energy drink.”

In her May 18 video, which has accumulated more than 26 million views, she explained the process of how inmates concoct their well-known energy drink known as “racks.”

The non-alcoholic beverage is made up of four components: Jolly Ranchers, strawberry Fanta, instant coffee, and Hawaiian Punch Kool-Aid mix.

To prepare this mixture, begin by dissolving the instant coffee in approximately two ounces of water. Then mix it with the instant Kool-Aid. Afterwards, pour in 4-6 ounces of Fanta soda. Finally, crush two Jolly Ranchers and add them into the mixture.

To conclude, Gypsy suggested serving the drink chilled over ice, stating that it was “repulsive”when consumed warm.

During the creation of her homemade energy drink, which was referred to as a “prison-style Red Bull”by inmates, the celebrity stressed the importance of the drink’s taste. She emphasized the need for it to have a juicy and fruity flavor.

Despite acknowledging the unappetizing appearance of the concoction, she continues to drink it to this day, even after being released from prison.

During her popular TikTok video, Gypsy also shared a tale of a time when she was filled with so much energy from the drink that she vigorously cleaned her jail cell using only a toothbrush. She remembered her cellmate teasing her for being ‘high-spirited’ once again.

Before ending the conversation, Gypsy also advised that for those who are feeling daring, substituting a Red Bull for a Fanta would have a multiplied effect of 10.
