Ha Jung-woo’s interview about the upcoming film “Hijacking”, set to premiere on June 21st, took place at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on June 14th.
In addition to discussing his upcoming movie “Hijacking”, Ha Jung-woo also shared his thoughts on becoming an uncle. This news comes after Ha Jung-woo’s younger brother, Kim Young-hoon, who is also the CEO of Workhouse Company, married actress Hwang Bo-ra in November 2022 and welcomed their son in the past month.
The actor shared, “I recently visited my nephew and was pleased to see that he is still being referred to by his fetal name, even though his official name has been chosen. It’s a wonderful feeling to have a nephew.”He went on to say, “Seeing my nephew growing up makes me realize that I too want to settle down and start a family. I hope to have a family before I reach the age of 50.”
During the event, Ha Jung-woo shared a humorous story about his attempt to name his nephew, which was met with resistance. He joked about the names he proposed, such as Kim Ji-hong and Kim Yu-won, and playfully suggested naming the children after North Korean leaders Kim Il-sung, Kim Jung-il, and Kim Jung-eun. This is a joke he often likes to make with his family.
On the June 10th episode of a TV Chosun program, Hwang Bo-ra opened up about her worries regarding choosing a name for her son. She revealed that Ha Jung-woo had suggested several names for the baby, including Kim Seon-hong, Kim Chi-young, Kim Ji-hong, Kim Ga-ram, and Kim Dae-seon. However, she admitted that she was not fond of any of the names, giving an honest review of Ha Jung-woo’s suggestions.
Besides his nephew, Ha Jung-woo also recently gained a younger brother. His father, actor Kim Yong-gun, welcomed his third son in 2021 at the age of 75 with his lover, who is 39 years his junior.
