Earlier this month, on December 11, the actress made her long-awaited return to Korean variety television after a three-year hiatus, appearing on MBC’s popular show “Radio Star.” During her segment, she discussed her move to Japan, revealing, “Initially, I aimed to pursue art studies. However, upon discovering that tuition fees exceeded 150 million won, I quickly shifted my focus to seeking agency representation instead.”

During her appearance, Ha Yeon-soo also addressed the rumors surrounding her “gravure debut.” She clarified, “At the beginning of my career in Japan, I participated in a photoshoot for a manga magazine. In Japan, various magazines are grouped together under the term ‘gravure’; however, in Korea, it is often misconstrued to represent ‘revealing photo collections’.” She further explained, “I wore everyday clothing for the shoot, yet around 50 articles in Korea circulated with sensationalized and provocative headlines. That caused me distress, as the portrayal felt inaccurate. I want to make it clear that the allegations are unfounded.”
