Diablo 4 streamer Rob2628 has discovered a new technique to take advantage of the increased Mythic Unique drop rates and continuously farm them during Season 5. In just a matter of minutes, he successfully obtained numerous Mythic Uniques through boss runs.
The beginning of Season 5 was marked by its start on August 6, and there has been a flurry of activity since then. Notable occurrences include beneficial bugs and XP glitches. In addition, Rob2628 has revealed a potent mechanic that greatly simplifies Mythic Unique farming.
During the battle against Tormented Lord Zir in the Eternal Realm, he was able to acquire two Mythic Uniques within a matter of minutes, demonstrating that the increase in Mythic drop rate is not to be underestimated.
In Season 5, Blizzard made a significant change by increasing the drop rates of Mythic Unique items from Tormented bosses. Following the most recent update, players now have an impressive 7.5% chance of obtaining a Mythic Unique from Tormented Echoes.
Rob2628 was able to obtain the Harlequin Crest, which is considered one of the most elusive items in the game, by defeating the Tormented Echo of Lord Zir. It appears that farming these bosses is the most efficient method for acquiring the Uber Unique you desire.
Not only Lord Zir, but any Tormented Echo boss can be farmed for this. An example is Varshan, whose mats can be summoned early in the game. So, if you come across a Stygian Stone, you can take on Varshan and test your luck as well.
Due to the immense power of this Mythic Unique farming method, players are concerned that Blizzard may make changes to it before they have the opportunity to utilize it.
Blizzard has a history of promptly addressing game-breaking bugs or mechanics in Diablo 4. It is possible that they will also address this issue. However, there has been no mention of this farming method yet, so it is likely that players can continue to use this strategy to obtain Uber Uniques.
