The Hades 2 early access has been widely successful with its players. However, there is a growing demand for the return of a key feature from the previous game, though not everyone is in agreement.
Despite still being in the early access stage, Hades 2 has already gained a significant amount of popularity, with a large number of players and a satisfied fan base. Building upon the success of its predecessor, many players are revisiting the world of Hades and immersing themselves in Melinoe’s story and distinctive abilities.
Nonetheless, it appears that a large portion of the player community is fixating on a specific skill they hope to have in the upcoming sequel – the ability to perform a double dash.
In the original Hades, the ability to double dash was crucial for survival. It allowed players to escape sticky situations and provided a slight speed boost, as sprinting was not available.
On the Hades Reddit, there is a widespread demand for the addition of this ability, with numerous players pleading for Supergiant to bring back the beloved feature.
“One user playfully quipped, ‘If you add double dashing to Hades 2, my life is yours,’ showcasing their eagerness to increase their speed in the game.”
Many others were in agreement, with one person commenting, “I also miss the double dash, but I think I just need to improve my sprinting skills. The double dash was such a great and helpful feature in the previous game.”Luckily, Hades 2 does include sprinting as a means of quick movement, but the double dash dodge was definitely a valuable ability.
Despite the post receiving some positive feedback, there were also players who disagreed. Many expressed their support for the removal of double dashing, stating that it made the game too easy and resulted in button mashing in the previous installment.
Despite the potential for button-mashing due to its close-range attacks, constant dodging, and minimal movement, Hades 2 focuses more on tactics, magic, and longer range combat, possibly eliminating the need for a double dash.
Some individuals also shared the same feelings, commenting, “I’m not sure if they will include a double dash, considering the effort they have put into sprint, but I do wish I didn’t have to continuously press the dash button for it to be effective.”
It is evident that although some people are in favor of the addition, there are others who are hesitant and would prefer to see some changes made to sprint rather than adding more dashing abilities.
